Did anyone happen to catch the random topless woman in Esquire's summer layout this issue? I was completely dumbfounded for a few seconds. There has to be precedent for this, but I just can't recall. Anyway, keep it up boys. I might renew early.

Didn't see this esquire, but in a GQ from a couple months ago, they had the '50 hottest women from movies' or some BS, and they had a pic or two with full boobs...I've seen that in the British version but never the U.S. version. Very weird

The 2008 Big Black Book from Esquire has a naked chick in an entire spread on tuxedos.

It's not that much of a surprise.

Esquire in its heyday was something of a skin magazine, with a lot of sexy pin-up art and cartoons. Some have said Hugh Hefner's inspiration was to create something like the old Esquire and make somewhat more sexy. In the late '50s, to meet the competition from Playboy, Esquire did have some sexy but tasteful nude photos, if time has not addled my memory.

No one ever forgets boobs. I'm sure your memory is iron-clad in this regard.

Gosh, you Americans are cosseted. There is a section every month in British Esquire that has a naked chick (very tastefully photographed) with some random men's fashion accessories. They pick tasteful (insert double entendre...) girls as well - you know, the sort that look like they read Thackeray in their leisure time - quite unlike the full-on T&A monstrosities that adorn so many American glossies.
