One of my favorite insults lately is "yeasty ****".

Though this has nothing to do with euphemisms. I apologize for straying off-topic.

Going for a sit-down wee.

Spending time with Mrs Palm and her 5 lovely daughters.

Quality time.

How could I forget the German euphemism Fuenf gegen einen (Five against one)?

I love 'the beast with two backs' - It seems to suggest a demonic carnality. I had not realised it is used in Othello:

Iago:
"I am one, sir, that comes to tell you your daughter and the Moor are now making the beast with two backs."

That euphamism would appear to be, for me at least, onomatopoeic.

pre-owned, cited above, is a good one -- so smarmy. I think it began with Lexus commercials. Some shameless ebay hucksters now refer to some used clothing as pre-loved, which, frankly, is rather disturbing. However, I'm sure there's a market for such things as the pre-loved RLPL manth*ng.

It means the person said it wrong. The proper saying is "I could not care less." That is, I care so little, it is not possible for me to care any less.

Are those examples of euphamisms though?

I questioned a poster (either here or the other SF) for saying "I could care less" and apparently it is a fairly common americanisation of the term "I couldn't care less", they have opposite meanings but imply exactly the same thing. Again, I'm not sure it's a euphamism either way.

ah here we go - I'm birminghamjim - comment 16 - http://supertalk.superfuture.com/sho...437#post148437 .
