If you like Pinot you can't go wrong with Cambria Estate's Julia's vineyard Pinot Noir...around $20 and readily available. A lot of berry flavors...I had it this past weekend and it was great!

If you like reds with body, not a lot of tannins, "round" in your mouth (as they say) try Aliotto

I like the wines from Indaba - especially the Shiraz and Chardonnay. For under $10, it is a hard wine to beat (cheaper if you are lucky to live near a Trader Joe's Wine Store).
