Hi Gents,

I am in the market for a trench coat and would love to hear SF thoughts on their favorite trench coats and why they like it.

What makes a great trench coat? Style, maker, color, material, lining...?

One with lining for all seasons, or a few different weights?

Pictures would certainly be welcome.

Burberry appears to be the gold standard. Any thoughts on others such as Acquascutum, Paul Stuart....?

Thanks

Did you try searching?

I swear there was this exact question posted yesterday...

Sorry, no opinions. But if you're a 40R, I have a nice Brooks Brothers trench posted on Ebay.

Thanks

I saw that thread which is interesting but at least started on a bespoke trench, then mutated into latin puns.

I have a sense of the classic style but would like to hear what folks think of the various OTR options.

Also, can one get Grenfell or Acquascutum in the US/NYC? Barneys appears to have a few single breasted but thats all I have seen, not the classic double breasted. And views on Paul Stuart's trenchs?
