This must be the answer to the question: "What do you call a Dutch NASCAR fan"?

Saw these recently. Van Slobbe Pumas - are they the "Rudy Dassler"? The green ones are cool, but maybe not "worth $250" cool: [IMG]

Yup, those are the Rudy Dasslers by van Slobbe. I have that green one, I also have the black on black, the brown on brown, and the yellowish brown/brown.

[IMG] I think my heart stopped for a second there. Any chance you'd ever post a pic of your wardrobe? Just a small peek would let me die happy.

I like them - they are very stiff but comfortable, and they are not oversaturated in the youth public yet.

Tuscanys are nice. Â I have a pair of black suede Jerez, which are very similar in construction, but with different tread (no Goodyear licensing). [IMG]

The van Slobbes are okay (actually had the chance to buy a pair to flip, but decided that they were too much of a risk), but I much prefer the Mihara line (although I just saw the latest ones (at American Ray LA) and they were atrociously ugly and looked really poorly made as well.) I guess it's deadstock for me.
