Many, but Brosnan's Thomas Crown Affair comes to mind right now.

For my money, "Step Up 3D" really stepped it up in a way that the other "Step Up" titles in the venerable series were unable to. And all this, despite the departure from the franchise of series mainstay Channing Tatum.

Perhaps it is a testament to the inspired choreography -- or perhaps, instead, to the rousing soundtrack composed by Flo Rida, featuring David Guetta -- that "Step Up 3D" manages to step straight to the front of the pack. Or perhaps we owe our thanks to the wise introduction of 3D technology to the picture, a miracle that the producers wisely chose to reintegrate into this year's "Step Up Revolution." Whatever the case, we can all agree that "Step Up 3D" is the finest in the series, and maybe even the most inspiring film of our generation.

Jackie, I like your humor.

Favorite movies mean ones that I can watch time and again without losing any of the original thrill.

My favorite movie of all time is Gladiator. Having loved Roman history and military tactics, the costume design, script, and range of emotions in the movie just made me appreciate the film more.

I freaking love Gladiator. (And cue the "Do you like movies about Gladiators?" jokes).

Over the last 10 or so years, the movie has aged tremendously well. Especially on Blu-ray. It still looks better than almost any movie that's come since. And it's just so damned entertaining. Also a big fan of the Roman history angle.

People like to criticize the movie for its over-the-top dialogue, etc., but to my ear, it sounds a lot like the dialogue in the old-fashioned sword and sandals movies. (It also sounds like the stylized/classicized dialogue in Game of Thrones, which somehow never seems to come under fire for its hamminess).

Finally, Gladiator features Russell Crowe at his most badass. Which is always a good thing.

Amen. I don't think the dialogue is over the top, in the sense that I don't think Shakespeare is over the top (not trying to say that the script is Shakespeare), but I think the movie was trying to evoke a certain weightiness in words. +1 to the Game of Thrones reference. I am not fortunate to have a Blueray player, and I can definitely tell the graininess of the regular DVD.

"There was once a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish... it was so fragile. And I fear that it will not survive the winter." Ah...

Oh and by the way, I love the music. I think it fits the movie perfectly.

I love Brokenback Mountain. I have watched the film for 3 times, and I cried each time. I have listened to its original sound track thousand times. It's beautiful!
