There have been quite a few over the years. I don't really watch them much anymore but I really loved Dennis Miller's talk show. He had the best bands and I like his commentary on what was going on. I think he was ahead of his time. I think a lot of what he says goes right over most people's heads.

I wish David Letterman had taken Jonny Carson's spot. That would have been awesome! Jay Leno isn't bad but he's not good. I can't get myself to watch his show all the way through. I think, however, David Letterman should've left the air a couple of years ago. He is still funny but he (imo) has been kinda going through the motions.

Remember Arsenio Hall? He was annoying. Jimmy Kimmel's not bad. Conan O'brien is ok.

Arsenio had a good show. Sad that he became something of a parody.

If we're including past and current, then there's only one:

Jay Leno is extremely lame in my opinion.

Craig Ferguson. His monologues aren't the usual "what's in the news" one liners. And bits like "Michael Caine in Space" and "This Day in History With Sean Connery" are flat out hilarious in their absurdity.

I'll weigh in for Ferguson. His monologue is the sharpest writing of late night. I am a long-time Letterman fan, but the show is turning into one big inside joke. Leno has one redeeming feature: "Headlines" on Monday.

Definitely Conan. I prefer Leno to Letterman, but neither one is as good as Conan.
