    what? no love for Bauxite?

if anyone loves AE chilis , santonis rusts, etc. you'll love the deepness and richness of bauxite. all the attention of chestnut. but also the sultriness of burgundy.

I love bauxite too. But people seldom see that color and EG rarely makes it in RTW. May be that's why no one picked it.

L to R: maple, acorn, Edwardian, chestnut, burnt pine, dark oak, burgundy, olive.

Also see Shoe Pictorial Index sticky thread under EG color chart.

How does one select their favorite child?
... especially when one has more children than Ramses II?

I am really glad somebody opened up this tread. I am planning to acquire pair of EG Chelseas on 202 last. Currently I am torn between Dark Oak and Edwardian. I am leaning toward Edwardian color I suppose I could pick up something similar to dark brown cheap from Brooks Brothers.

it was a tough choice between dark oak and chesnut antique. but i feel dark oak is EG's signature color.

I was of the same mind. But dark oak really elevates dark brown into something nuanced and interesting, without being gaudy.

maple color is an excellent pallet to do a home antiquing experiment on it.
