Considering shoes at full retail, I have to say "none".

I just don't see a truly quality sub $200-US shoe any more. I tried Cole Haan's years ago and they fell apart.

I agree that at full retail you cannot find anything worth buying for under $200. However Seconds or slightly used Quality shoes can be had for well under $200 from very reputable companies such as Allen Edmonds, Loake, some Brooks Brothers stuff, and the better made Johnston and Murphy's among a smattering of others. You just have to know where to look and what you're looking for. I have yet to pay retail for a pair of good shoes.

Good luck.

If you are talking retail, I can't tell the difference between a $200 shoe and a sub $100 or even $50 shoe in terms of quality, they are just all garbage. $300-$350 retail is where your dollar starts having a real impact.

I've recently picked up Grenson Masterpiece, Crockett & Jones Handgrade, Borrelli and others for under 200 so I'd say any of those

truth. if you are really on a budget you might as well go thrifting and spend $20, instead of $200. same quality, save $180

Sargent's, Grensons, Barker, Cheaney or Loake on sale, or dead stock on e-bay!
Between 150-200 US $ - martegani (when Ron has a stock return or a sub) or C&J benchgrade subs!

Based on what I've seen in my few months here, I would say AE on sale or discontinued models. Check the AE ebay store and contact them directly to ask about sales and seconds. I just got a pair of Drydens in Mocha for $129!

My favorite shoes that I got for under $200 are:

AE Bel Air - $187 - purchased from the Wisconsin AE store during a crazy December sale
Martegani Penny Loafers - $80 - purchased from Amazon on steep discount + new Amazon credit card discount
