"Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day"

The original folk tune and the delightful modern setting by John Gardner.

It came onto the scene rather late. Regardless of one's beliefs, the lyrics' truths cannot be faulted. The lyrics leave room for other truths, opinions, and expressions of feeling.

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Savior is born
Christ, the Savior is born

Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth

Is it a fairly safe assumption that you don't like Christmas in general?

Well, then, it is probably better for some of us to wish you a happy holiday (if that is not soooooooooooooooooooo sick and annoying) rather than wish you a Merry Christmas. Whatever your belief, please allow my family to wish you a good day and and a wonderful life!!

No reply is necessary.

Your assumption would be correct! My family is completely dysfunctional so I really don't like the idea of having to entertain them on any holdiay. I can get away with not seeing them for most occasions, but it's kind of unavoidable on xmas. Xmas music is just a constant reminder that the dreaded day is approaching (it's also just plain annoying). It's constant fighting at our family get togethers, and not the mild fighting that all families do, but Montague vs. Capulet sort of stuff. Or maybe Shia vs. Sunni vs. Kurds would be a more apt comparison, with my aunt taking the role of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as she discretely fuels one side of the battle while absolving herself of any wrongdoing. She always was a tyrant.

I have a female friend from Toronto coming to visit right after xmas and that's the only thing I'm really looking forward to.

Regardless, your sentiments are appreciated.
