I was recently reading about fat cell distribution, which got me thinking...
When I was a kid (up until about age 8 or 9), I was really skinny. Then, all of a sudden, I got kind of pudgy. My weight would fluctuate a bit (I'd always lose weight from being really active in summers, then put it back on in the winter), but my BMI was usually pretty close to 25. Anyhow, I'm now 15 and recently got myself into much better shape; at the start of the summer, I was 192 lbs. and 6'0"; I'm now 149 lbs. and closer to 6'1". While I'm not covered in loose skin or anything, my body is probably a little less "tight" than you might expect from someone with my weight/height.
Is that just from skin taking a while to tighten up after rapid weight loss, or am I already old enough that my body can only shrink, but not actually get of fat cells?
Thanks much,
