What do you guys think are the shoemakers that are a bit more fashion forward?

I've been looking at @Carmina and will be purchasing a pair from them and they look a bit more fashion-forward while staying true to the classic look me.

I don’t own any Carmina but they don’t strike me as fashion forward in any way.

Care to share an example of one that you think does?

Maybe I mean more modern looking imo. It looks like some shoemakers are more classic looking, such as Edward Green looks more like classic English shoes. I’m still getting into shoes but that’s the impression I get.

You might want to look at say Caulaincourt which might be seen as fashion forward due to the patina used?

I think hes maybe just responding to the fact that carmina has a wider selection of colors in many styles than say... CJ or EG.

I dont think their lasts could be described as fashion forward.

Not sure what you are looking for as "fashion forward" @Andrew0409.

Carlos Santos for example has some pretty varied patina offerings.

I was looking at some shoes in EG, they look very much like something you wear to a board room and look like classic English shoes to me. I don't know if it's just my bias because EG's prices are for someone like that, but some of the Carmina's look a bit more modern and younger-looking in style. But I could be very wrong, these are just my impression on the way the shoes look. And i'm generalizing a whole lot.

^ you’re eye sees what it sees. It’s your interpretation.

I’m just genuinely curious what qualifies as fashion forward to you.

You might find something you like at Corthay
once we are talking corthay we can also throw aubercy and altan bottiers in the mix. Also maybe even berluti (rtw), santoni, tods and other forum favorites :)
