Jeff George is back in the league for Oakland.

[IMG] [IMG] he's gonna get hurt.

    He's gonna get cut.

Look at the bright side- Al Davis has regressed to a walker. The time is imminent.

A few years back I came within a second or two of (accidentally) running down Al Davis in a crosswalk. I actually saw quite a bit of him around that time, because the Raiders' suit against the NFL (one of them, anyway) was in a courtroom across the hall from where I was trying a case. Davis was one scary-looking dude: straight out of a bad vampire movie.

    TE - Leonard Pope
    TE - Marcedes Lewis

    Brad,

Are you gonna play in the SF league?

I choose to autodraft while everyone else live drafted as I was observing a special event with the Hopkins-referenced hippie chick.

Guess I got too cute with trying to space my picks and drafting first:

    QB- McNabb
    Brad Johnson

    RB- LT
    Westbrook
    Willie Parker
    Ladell Betts
    Samcon Gatto (dropped for Pollard)

    WR- Matt Jones
Si. Moss (dropped for Ma. Robinson)
So. Holmes (dropped for A. Lelie)

    TE- Gonzalez
    Pollard

    DEF- Denver
    Philly

    D- Simoneau (dropped for Dawkins)

    K- Vinatieri
    Kasay

Once I got over the panic of having virtually no good wide receivers, I realized I had a pretty good team. We have a flex WR/RB position so I can play Westbrook, LT, and Parker every week. And Gonzalez is as good as a second WR.

Hopefully the Eagles will have a decent year in a very tough division. To do so they gotta pass, which is good for me.

Otherwise, I'll watch the waiver wire and pick up a good WR or two...And win, as I have the last two years in a row.

Or pout and cause more trouble in the CE Forum.

No - this was for the league I've been playing in for about 15 years now.

I must have missed the sign-up for the SF league.

SF league just auto drafted... only four teams, so we are playing points, not head to head. The point system is set up to give performance bonuses for big games, and regular plus and minus points for regular stats. Almost everything stat-wise will either get you or lose you points, so it should be exciting. I fully expect Steve to tear out the rest of his hair by the end of the year... I'm hoping that this will be a nail biter all the way till the end. It would be less fun if I won by a landslide... [IMG] Only four teams also means that every team is basically a fantasy powerhouse. I like the way it turned out. My team is: QB: Matt Hasselbeck/Donovan McNabb WR: Chad Johnson/Marvin Harrison/Chris Chambers/TJ Who'syermamma/Derrick Mason RB: Ladanian Tomlinson/Ronnie Brown/Steven Jackson TE: Tony Gonzalez/Todd Heap K: Mike Vanderjagt Def: Giants/Seahawks

Despite the sneaky way in which the draft was conducted and the rules changed at the last minute (really didn't expect much else from Slim- it's the only slim [IMG] chance he has of winning) I'm in pretty good shape.

QB: Carson Palmer (AKA The Rifleman), Daunte Culpepper
RB- Tiki Barber, Willie Parker, Clinton Portis, Lamont Jordan
WR-Larry Fitzgerald, Torri Holt, Hines Ward, Plaxico Burress
    TE- Alge Crumpler, Jason Witten
    K- Jay Feely (for now)
    DEF- Chicago, TB

I have lots of hair Slim, unlike your boy Matt Hasselhof, and your team the Suckhawks, who will be supplanted by the AZ Cards as the NFC West champs this season.

Sneaky? I dunno whats sneaky about giving you guys three days notice. Its not my fault you are too lazy to change your player rankings when I told you to do it a week ago. And would you RATHER play head to head and go back to the original point system? It will make our four team league pointless. But its not too late to do change it back if you want. I think it would REALLY hurt your team though, so I'd advise against it.

    Notice given 4:16AM 9/3. Hardly 3 days...

The only way I'd have changed my rankings is I probably wouldn't have taken Portis, but I picked up Parker, who IMO will be HUGE this year.

    I'm OK with it...

I've never played this way and, unlike some, am usually open to new experiences.

Just giving you the Hell from whence you came.

    Jeff George.

"Such a pretty spiral" was my other potential team name.

Funny, I sent a leauge email at midnight on Saturday right before I made the league "ready". So maybe it wasn't three days, but it was at least 24 hours. Maybe if you had checked the "recieve emails from the league" box, you wouldn't have to bitch so much about us never telling you anything. [IMG] Oh, and I'm glad you are "open to new experiences"... cause evidently you aren't accustomed to losing, and I was worried that it might push you over the edge. Some people might take it easy on you, since you obviously play with a bunch of amateurs, but I, on the other hand, have the eye of the tiger.
