Used the wildcard early. I don't have Aguero and Diego Costa and my team valuation is probably the lowest in our league. Last season you had to have Suarez and the season before it was Van Persie. To get an expensive striker, I would need to sacrifice Hazard or Sanchez from my midfield and so far I haven't done so.

It's tricky - there are budget strikers who have really performed well - Berahino for example (I'll keep quiet about who I've got my eye on ;) ). Hazard is an explosive player - you stand a chance of a hat-trick but equally he can go weeks with not a lot, meanwhile there are options around the 6mil mark who are scoring regularly but unspectacularly...

Of course Aguero is injury prone (and City aren't looking that strong), Costa isn't without further injury risk and has discipline problems that will surely result in a red card before too long (hopefully not on a week I captain him).

Absolutely, I am trying to use budget strikers who are over-performing. My doubt in regard to Costa and Aguero have been just the price / injury risk analysis. Hazard and Sanchez have felt like safer long term options but the massive success of Costa and Aguero week in and week out has been killing me - everyone else have at least one of these, often both.

Having Aguero and Costa in my team has not bought me much success so far this season.

Sakho has been my budget striker success, but you're right. I'm already thinking of swapping out Aguero, perhaps for one of Sanchez or Di Maria and getting in another budget striker. Sigurdsson has been solid for me, I think he's 6 million and change.
