What's the story with these FAM's? They are neither tan or orange sock. Anyone have any insight for me?

FAM defining is sort of hard to really decipher, there are alot of loafers from santoni that do carry the handwritten inscribed insoles but they are definitely not made in the puristic (Aaac/style defined) FAM standards.
there are however a few FAM loafers actually substantial enough and with a tan or orange insole.

there is a miscommunication throughout here on style and on AAAC whenever someone announces or informs others of a possible or actual santoni 'FAM " sale.
a shoe sale having priced at 200 dollar FAM loafer shoes usually was meant regarding the loafers crafted like the former described.

the ones you show are an ok shoe but it is a design like those italian slip on thin sole egg shell soles. if the price were about a hundred dollars it would be a decent buy, but at the yoox price of 290 you should still wait a few months so they can drop the price.
