I bought these ties for fall, to wear with the sport coat (which they are on). I also found an amazing all wood matching umbrella. Just curious on opinions. This is my first photo posing after lurking for a few years.

I think the orange one is fantastic. As for the cream (?) one, I always have trouble combining pale ties like that. I don't want to wear them with only white shirts, and they get lost on many other colours.

Edit: It is a nice tie, though!

The ties are a bit meh IMO though I agee that the orange one is better. I'm not quite sure in what sense you think the umbrella is 'matching'.

Geometrics like this are very out of style
(or in style in backwater country where style doesn't change for decades at a time)
What Flusser would call the "1990s pizza explosion" tie

Stick with solids, dots, grenadines, and striped ties.

I think it was Tom Wolfe in A Man in Full who coined the "pizza explosion" term.

Anyone want to post a good example of a "pizza explosion" tie that was all the rage in the 90s?
Incidentally, isn't that an ironic quote coming from a band that played the same 3 major chords in 1/2 their songs.
