Update:

Only 30 -> 24 -> 16 DRs / motos / T1 / T3... ever!

Huh?

Let me explain..

Daniel and I, through the rise and fall of ToJ and now with Falcon, have been working with the same two tailors for over 12 years now. We've been through so much together and they're like family to us.

Over the years, they made every single one of your jackets by hand and continue to do so in their personal workshops. About 5 years ago, one of our tailors asked to stop giving him calfskin jacket orders due to his age -- working with calfskin requires much more hand strength than softer leather. We promptly did so because their health and longevity came before all else.

Both of our tailors are starting to get up there in age. They both have over 90 years of expertise between them and we've now reached a point where one of them has come to the decision to close up his workshop in 2 months and retire. We'll miss him, but fully support his decision.

What does this mean?

1. We will make only 16 more of those jackets mentioned until May 25th when he will hang up his measuring tape. This also means, guaranteed shipment by May 25th.

These will be first come, first serve and once we hit the limit, absolutely no exceptions will be made since it will be impossible to fulfill the order.

We've given Styleforum members a head start by posting here a few days before we do so anywhere else since this is where we started from.

It will be the last chance to ever own a DR / MOTO / T1/ T3 jacket from us under our current tailor that makes them. So get those orders in if you want a part of history.

2. In the meantime, we are exploring and testing other tailors that meet our rigorous quality standards. We have some great leads on new tailors. Some from recommendations from our current tailors, some third party.

3. A2 / MA1s and other bomber types will be available as usual

Is bittersweet, but we're very happy for him and wish him all the good health and good times in his retirement. ❤

Edit: we actually need to make a pretty drastic change to our post. It's not much calfskin jackets, but all DRs / MOTOS / T1 until we find someone else with comparable skill to make them by hand.

Running a short 5-day Spring Sale on all MA1, Varsity, and Harrington models.

The lead time on these are really short at the moment because our tailor that hand-makes these have caught up and is feeling a lot better from an injury he suffered about 2 months back.

Code is SPRING2021

Hey Charly, will the DRs eventually make a return in more or less the same form we know them? I imagine finding a new tailor could result in the jackets winding up being slightly different, but I was just curious if the goal is to keep the jacket patterns the exact same as before. Thanks!
