1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

It's pretty similar. TOJ one had extra space between the epaulets and the shoulder, bigger lapels, and a double-prong belt.

the back is different, too, and the belt loops are snapped, shorter, and rounded on the top

it's mainly the lapels that distinguish it, though

Seems like a lot of the stuff @willy cheesesteak got done on his. That one is gorgeous. After tax season I may have to try and order the exact same one, but without that zippered pocket on the sleeve. It is amazing

Also, you mind explaining the thought process on changing the shoulder seam?

don't think he realises they are the same thing, other than kip just meaning any small young animal, a cow kip would be calf, so kipskin leather from a cow would be calfskin

Hey all, I'm in the market for my first double rider. For the DR1/DR2/DR3, why is it preferred to have the sleeve zips in front? Why is it preferred to have the sleeve zips in back?

I can't comment on why others would prefer it aesthetically, but I will mention wearing a jacket in a desk job setting. I have a Temple of Jawnz MDR jacket with rear facing zippers and my girlfriend has a Falcon Garments DR3. With rear facing zippers, if you have a desk job or use a laptop the rear facing zippers will annoy you constantly if they're scraping the desk and hitting the wood/metal. I've asked her what she thinks and she doesn't have that issue at all.

For me the zips are better in the front. less scraping when you're sitting at a table or something

im thinking of grabbing a DR3, advice if i should go calf or goat? don't like the look of worn-in lamb

have got a calf DR1 about size 50, its growing tight on me and choking my armpits. the collar feels as if its pushing my neck forward, and it weighs about 5lbs...so overall its a bit straining to wear. aside from that i like the feel and toughness of the calf. never handled anything goatskin.
