Is there that big a market for knocking off PS Ties at 16 bucks?

Also for the record this pic shows a scratch on the tie (somewhat common on twills)

I didn't think that there was a big market for fake PS ties, but then the label looked different than most labels I've seen. Thanks.

There's a consensus here, that tailored clothing is not faked as there's almost no market for it (with a few exceptions of course).
Have you ever thought that...
(from a friend who alarmed me as he was uncertain after he got that peice of crap)

I received this tie today and am pretty sure it's fake.

Was it bought from an Italian ebayer? I was sold a fake Belvest once on ebay.

Looks like maybe just an old tag to me.

The material is much thinner than my other 2 PS ties and the lining is pathetic. I'll take a photo. maybe I'm wrong since I'm new to this, but I don't think so.

+1. Tag looks OK. I've bought PS on eBay without any problem.

Yes, that one was bought from an Italien ebay seller.
The tags are OK, they seem to be original Belvest black label tags, at least I know these from shops which sell Belvest (anyway that one lacks the "Belvest" lining).
However, it is obvious that they were sewn onto the suit after the original tags were removed.
I told the guy who bought it, to email Belvest the seller ID and issue etc., but as far as I know they didn't reply.

I can't speak to yours, but I have a vintage PS that's one of the thinnest ties I own. The thick tie = quality tie thing is pretty recent, as far as I can tell.

Yeah. I think tie thickness has more to do with decade when the tie was made than quality.

What's the lining like on yours? Mine has this really thin piece of white material.
