Already had posted these in the "thrift" thread, but thought I'd ask here about real/fake for anyone knowledgeable with Kenzo?

Found this "Kenzo" sweater and wondering if legit or not.

Material and stiching seems good. I know Kenzo does have some Made in China items so that itself does not worry me.

Two things I can see are how care tag is stiched on...and a "M" for medium size tag is actually located further up the collar/shoulder seam instead of off the Kenzo neck tag.

I am not an expert at all, but I would say it seems to be legit, label and sewing look good to me; check this:

Hey,

I recently shot this Kiton at an eBay auction and I am not sure if it is real.

The Kiton label does not say "made in italy" and there is no tag below it saying "100% wool, made in italy" or the likes. (Edit: found the 100% wool label in another pocket)

Additionally, on the other label it does not say what kind of wool it is (150s etc) and neither the color. Any ideas?

Thank you!

Hello StyleForum

I bought this Ermenegildo Zegna suit from a local thrift store and wanted to know if it was real. I've read that most fakes mess up the uppercase "E" in Ermenegildo, leaving out the little "wings" inherent in serif font. This one looks good to me in that respect. But the suit doesn't have a normal material tag that I could find. It only has that little label above the left pocket that says "Wool & Cashmere," which is throwing me off, and a care tag. It is fully canvassed (I did the pinch test), and the fabric feels very soft. The pick stitching on the lapel also looks to be high quality. Any ideas? Please see the attached photos. Thanks in advance. I look forward to learning from the forum.

i am aware that Ralph Lauren Polo shirts have 2 types of tags. The older one is blue and says “Polo by Ralph Lauren”. The new one says “Polo Ralph Lauren” in yellow.

In the older version, the size can be found on a separate tag next to the main one. Usually a single letter.
Has Ralph Lauren ever released a size tag with additional “number sizing”?

Can anyone tell if the photo above is an authentic Polo RL shirt?

It looks authentic to me. It looks like a non-American sizing system (e.g. Europe or Asia), the Kanji characters after the "100% cotton" seem to support this. Also a casual Google search brings up this https://global.rakuten.com/en/store/hugall/item/a7742001/ . My guess is that it is an Asian market piece and that 170 is for cm probably.

Ralph Lauren has made a lot of product for a lot of different markets, so there is some variation. Taking a look at the care label can usually tell you what market the item was originally made for. And on American stuff, check for a Supplier Number somewhere on the garment.

Thanks, mate!
