I doubt there is anyone here who has a lot of inside knowledge on how well they authenticate items. But don't you think that just maybe they have a very strong vested interest in making that claim? And ask yourself how much it would cost them to pay true "experts" to authenticate every item they sell. A word of caution here.
I’ve thought that myself. I’m just a morbidly obese man who likes to look good on a budget.

I linked to the same post...haha.
Their “authenticators” are under a lot of pressure to get merchandise online and available for sale. Their training is not exactly like some sort of fellowship program.

But I agree; the volume of **** they put out there simply cannot be kept up with by having experts pouring over detailed minutiae.

It's real, but cheap tat. YSL was licenced to a UK company called Marchpole.
These were sold cheaply, and at the end Sports Direct sold them for £14.99...

I just recently purchased on ebay a two button, double vent, single breasted suit that was described as a an authentic Brioni. The seller sells other suits and has 100% positive feedback for over 10,000 transactions. The suit jacket interior has the classic "Brioni " label with white lettering on black, but I noticed a few things that did not seem right and have me worried. especially there are traces near the tag...

Is this suit real or fake? How can one tell? Thoughts from Brioni aficionados would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Legit. No doubt. Tags were probably moved during removal of linen

Thank you for your reply. Some people said to me traces near the tag, it is fake. but You console me. Would you tell me why linen removed?? Have a nice day!
Based on the "Non Shatnez" tag the previous owner was probably Jewish and The mixture of wool and linen is prohibited by the bible (leviticus 19:19 according to Wikipedia)

Hi I was just curious for some second and third opinions on the authenticity of this GANT Jacket label. To me the stitching and label seem a bit poor quality. So i got suspicious.
GANT_label_main.png

But when i looked for other GANT labels i on the web, i came across similar quality labels. But it was not clear to me if those were genuine or fake. I even found even found pictures of several labels with exactly the same numbers, on completely different items.
RN0101293 CA04754.
examples are:
GANT_label_similar.png
GANT_label_similar2_nrs.png

The other labels on the last picture look better quality, but to me it was weird that they use the same numbers there.
So basically my questions can be split up on your opinion of authenticity of the label of the first picture? and maybe the meaning of these numbers..
Thanks

Yo. I got this on eBay, nomsayin? Does it look authentic to you? Seems like a quality piece. My other luxury ties I bought on therealreal. I’m scared to buy stuff on eBay out of fear they’re fake. Like I once saw a pair of Versace underwear with a tag that said “made in China.” Everyone knows Jonny’s stuff is made in Italy.
is this tie correct though?

i have some nice hermes ties for sale if you’re interested
