hi, what are your thoughts about this zegna suit. Its trofeo silk and wool blend. Goose feet pattern navy suit. Seller claims it has been worn only once or twice. And price is 2000 (about a month of Turkish minimum wage)liras. About 275 dollars. Do you think it is a fake or does it worth it? 20210117_004255.jpg

^ at first look, it looks good.
Keep in mind, it has been altered (maybe), so maybe it doesn't fit you.
Turkey? Do you buy from an EU seller? Tell the seller it should be shipped with ATR, so no Customs, only VAT.

Excuse me, I'm not familiar with the terminology. I'm new to the sartorial world.
The seller is probably a rich guy who bought it from Europe and now bored with it. There are people like that. Or bought from high end stores who sell imported suits such as Beymen and Vakko.
What would a pre owned suit like that cost in a European countrys ebay for example?

Also I asked the measurements of the suit and it is a perfect fit

where is the ITEM located? In Turkey, in the EU, Russia, etc.? --> You are in Turkey, where is the seller located?
I can not tell you regarding prices, I don't know (used).

Regarding authenticity, for my eyes, it looks real.
If you like to color, fit, etc. go for it. Always hard to tell how the garment is worn, have to check "edges".

If you don't have the money to spent and are thinking about it, because it's maybe too expensive, do not buy it!
If you are ok with the price, buy it.
Used can be found cheaper, but the same color and size? Hard to find again.

$275 seems like a lot for a used suit. It looks like it may be a bit dated as well. Is the jacket unvented? I can’t tell from the pics.

Yes its a lot of money for a used suit but new trofeo silk suits from Zegna cost about 2300 euros.
It seems that its double vented.
Buttons kinda bother me because they seem like regular plastic. Does Zegna use plastic buttons? Especially on o high end model of theirs? Or the buttons are made of another material?

It looks legit to me.
This is a recent Zegna mainline given the tags. 275$ is a bit steep, but overall condition seems really good.
Are you sure this is a suit? Did you check the pictures of the pants as well?
And just my personal opinion but I find it beautiful and would definitely wear it if I was sure this is the right fit, which you seem to have already figured out!

Actually I just found that its just the jacket thanks for pointing out. It makes it a bit tricky since I don't really know how to pair goosefeet pattern with other garments.

BTW I just found out that 54 Italian is much larger than 54 Turkish. So it might need a little size alteration.

I would be very, very surprised if those are plastic buttons unless they were swapped out at some point.

As for the price, a new suit would cost that much, but that’s not a new suit; it’s used.

Glad you double checked. Indeed this is not easy to pair with but it should work fine with some flannel or standard mid grey wool trousers. Even brown would make sense here.

Also always make sure you check or ask the seller for the exact measurements because size isn't always an accurate way to verify the fit.

So 250$ for the jacket only, I think you could find some better deals both locally or on the bay.

Thank you for your good advice.
The same seller is also selling a grey Canali suit. This time with pants. For $155.
It is extremely rare to find these kind of brands in Turkey and imports are much more expensive than Europe.

This Canali is a bit dated. It's like 10/15 years I believe?
Not saying this is bad, you just have to ensure the suit is in good shape. Because the Zegna jacket was expensive seemed in really good condition. Here it's another thing.
