Hi, this jacket I found has zippers that remind me of Bottega Veneta and in the tags the name is written, which is strange.. most probably not authentic but what do you think?

looks like a sample piece to me which would mean authentic but I’m no Bottega Veneta expert.

BV is primarily known for their leather goods. Almost any piece I’ve seen from them has some leather on it. This looks like a cheap windbreaker from Target. I’m no expert either, but it just doesn’t look authentic.

I can tell you, BV does not produce all products. They look for companies who produces this kind of merchandise. Usually, they go to multiple companies and tell them different price points and get for example 3 Samples from 1 Company. Usually, there is no TAG inside of the name, because its just a sample.
With names could be pre-production runs... but who knows.

I tried to lookup for RTW Spring Summer 2017 as mentionned on the tags (PE 2017 would stands for Primavera Estate in italian or Printemps Eté in french) but couldn't find anything.
I'd say if it's cheap and for personnal, why not, but hard to sell otherwise without official tags? Unless there is BV afficionados dying for this piece. Who knows?

I did a search as well but didn't find anything similar looking either, I just asked the person I bought it from (40€) if she had more information about it, and she told me she got it at a braderie (clearance sale?), and she was told it was a BV prototype and shown the zippers and tag as proof, I got it sent from france. It does have a nice construction and shape. The materials seem nothing crazy, just enough to hold its shape I suppose, it's well stitched and the pockets have a lot of details like sideways openings still with zippers and stuff, the zippers look nice and sturdy, they have the text "Feder y CA - Made in Italy" engraved, not sure if that's good.

There's the option of returning it but I might just keep it since I like the cut, and I'll also post it online showing the tags and without claiming it's BV, in case someone sees it and wants it for 40. Thanks for the replies by the way.

Any Saint Laurent experts out there? I picked this up at a used clothing store but not sure about the YSL patch or lining on the inside.

I didn't even know this was a thing or if this is real, but can ties really be partially made out of gold?
