Hi everyone! First post here. I bought a trenchcoat from a charity shop. The label says Aquascutum but I'm not quite sure it's real, both for the low price and the lining is plain not checked, but it could be just really old. I bought it cause I like the coat and I'll happily wear it fake or not. I am asking more out of curiosity than out of concern. Is it real? And if so would anybody be able to give me an approximate age? Thank you so much

coat is real. I’m not 100% on dates but I think they moved production out of England in the 90s so I’d guess that was made in the 80s.

Hi all,
I found this great forum while researching how to identify real vs fake Burberry trench coats.
As there are SO many labels and tags from different decades I am still unsure and need your help!
I bough a trench second hand and it’s supposed to be 100% original (of course), although a receipt did not exist.
On the first glance the coat looks good but at home I looked at some details which make me doubt.
For example: the lining of the arms is made out of really cheap polyester. The lining of the pockets is just canvas/cotton and feels rough. The label inside the pocket looks strange. The tag inside the coat is on the right side not on the left (I believe 99% of jackets have it on the left side). Inside the pockets, you can clearly see material cut offs (see detail pic) and they are just not sawn nicely.
Is there any expert in this forum who can give me some advice? I just don’t know how to proceed, if I should report this person as selling fakes is illegal? And I don’t want to resell a fake coat myself! Thank you!!

No experts around?

i made comments on your other thread. The detailing is pretty good. I don’t think a knockoff would have as clean a line when it comes to stitching. Note how the label is applied. Note the stitching around the other labels. If it’s a knock, it’s a damned good one.

Was wondering if anybody could help me with this RL coat. I don’t think the made in Mexico is a good sign but I was hoping maybe it was an early model? However, they also spelled it cashmire so thinking I got burned.

Hi everyone! First post here. I only have one Armani item and the tags are different on this item so I don't know if it's real. Thank you for your time.

Not gonna lie, this is a fake RL coat to me.
Collar tag indicates RLPL, but then it has another tag saying Polo RL?!
Also you're right, cashmere is spelt wrong, and I don't think RL ever precise cashmere as "cashmere wool".
