id be shocked if Brioni actually used Comic Sans as a font on their tag. Also it looks like a hot mess but that might just be how it’s on the mannequin. Not sure of the first one but that second one doesn’t look too good to me.

I'm curious how you can tell from those few pictures alone. I thought there's a lot more to it since they're being faked to such a high degree that there are a lot of very high quality fakes as well. I remember most fakes didn't have the loopkeeper or a proper box but most other details have been copied pretty well.

twill direction, pattern/model #, horse’s legs, age of label. I’ve handled a lot of Hermes ties. The fake ones usually have an obvious tell.

That's very interesting, thanks for the reply. Since you have handled so many I'd be interested in how you'd rate the "good" fakes. Are there really any "good quality" ones or are they just trying to be somehow passable. I have never touched one myself knowingly and have just heard about the huge amount of fake Hermes ties and how hard they've become to spot.

One of the first things to look for with Hermès is the twill/pattern direction. It’s biased from 11 to 5 (left to right). The details of the tag and the other identifiers. They will appear clean and well executed.

The last is that it won’t look like ****. I know this is subjective, but Hermès patterns are clean, crisp and the coloration pretty sophisticated.

ive only handled a few fake Hermes items in person and they all have been atrocious to be honest. I have a fake scarf in a drawer that I keep around and plan to make something with at some point. It’s definitely not made of silk like it says on the label and the printing is sloppy. The fake ties I’ve handled have all been the kind you pick up from a street vendor just outside of nice shopping areas and were verrrrrrry terrible. I’m sure there are really great fakes out there but I’ve never personally handled one.
