Fairly decent leather, solid build, soles with rubber inserts. They retail for $650, but can be had for less than 1/2 that amount.
Given the drive-off cost, is that something which is worth a look , or shall I keep walking - forgive the pun ?

Given that I would consider them of lower quality than a pair of A&Es or Aldens I would only consider a pair for under $100. I would pay $130 at the absolute maximum for a pair I really liked (shoot me if that ever happens).

The only reason for the $650 retail price tag is the advertising. Someone has to pay for the drug habits of all those catwalk models.

Walk. Lots of better shoes out there for the price. (Tramezzas come to mind immediately)

No doubt, Tramezzas would be the go-to shoes in the $$$ ballpark. Trouble is, my local SF outlet didn't have anything new since this time last year

Hasn't somebody posted no that long ago that they'd seen close to 6-7 Tramezza styles over @ Woodbury Common

The last time I looked at Armani shoes - I think from Emporio or Collezione - every model was over AU$800 and made from corrected-grain. I would've paid maybe fifty bucks for a pair, if I saw a style that I liked.

I imagine that construction and leather type/quality varies from season to season, but I'm not really game to check again.
