In the beginning they were only one person-Jango fett but I guess the Empire thought otherwise after he got his head cut off.

Yeah... if you take at least the best written of the EU into account, the Empire hasn't been using clones for years by the time Episode IV happens.

I think in the KJAnderson trilogy about the formation of the New Jedi Order the one kid takes the Sun Crusher and destroys a system where the remnants of the Empire had their remaining Stormtrooper training facilities. Then he goes through a mental breakdown thinking about all the different people he killed(...? it's been a while) mainly young kids at the academies there.

also, why the **** do the Stormtroopers wear armor in the first place? when weapons like Han Solo's **** little leg blaster (which looks like the galaxy far far away version of a .22) straight up kills them with a single shot from across a spaceship hangar??!
