Is there a way to rectify the problem of "shiny" wool? I have an old pair of wool trousers that have taken up a slight sheen in the seat.

Any reccomendations (aside from throw them out

)?

Throw them out, works. And don't dry clean the next pair so often.

Hmm, didn't see that. Although j reccomended it for shine on the collar of a dress shirt.

Anyone know if it'll work for trousers?

I have the same problem on an Oxxford suit I got off of eBay. I'm going to likely return that, as both legs & the seat of the trousers shine like the sun.

From your own description, they are old. It is a sign of age.
Do you sit in a leather chair at work? I think this contributes to the shine compared to cloth chairs.
