1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but can anyone comment on wrinkle resistance of lessers tropical 8/9oz? Does it compare to minnis or smiths frescos?

Not even close - its a standard worsted (albeit a well woven one) that creases as such.

I think I should stop trying to get around buying a fresco and just buy a fresco

Everything I've heard about the Royal Classics and English Classics collections indicates that it's sturdy, non-fancy stuff at a great price.

I believe that Royal Classics may (sadly) be discontinued.

TF / Dugdales books I like: English Classics, Super 100s, Mohair, Formal
All the other, newer, shinier stuff is pretty pedestrian. Magdale tweeds are supposedly made by Johnston's, so those may very well be good.

Or realize that frescos are awful and don't.

I have one Lesser suit, and it's probably my last. I find Smiths to be far superior in worsted. I hope the new owners keep everything as is on that front.
