Are there any options online other than Minnis and Hardy for buying good quality suit fabric? Something equally good, or almost as good for a little less money?

Thanks in advance.

You can try Holland and Sherry, although they are not really sell it online, but you can check the stock list online, ask the sample by email and order the cloth thru email. However, their price is at the same level as Minnis, I think.

Some H&S fabrics are similar in price to Minnis, but most are much more expensive.

Compare the price listed online by Minnis and the price quoted by H&S for me, I won't said most H&S are much more expensive. I buy from H&S diectly for more than 5 yrs now.

fishball, is there a reason why you don't order thru' a tailor in hongkong? Is it due to price savings and if so, would you say that CMT at a decent HK tailor like chan or yao is a better option than choosing a fabric from their books?

Upnorth,

Yes, it's for price saving.
CMT at Yao and A-Man is around HKD5,500~6,000 for a 2 pcs suit now, Chan won't do CMT any more. If you ordered the fabrics in house, let said H&S crispaire, it will be HKD10,000 or more, IIRC. I got 3m of Crispaire for HKD2,300 when the GBP1=HKD15.5. Is it a good saving?
