Hi all, just got fitted for a sportcoat by Chan yesterday in NYC (navy minnis fresco, 2 patch pockets, 1/2 lined). I had intended to get fitted for pants as well, but was overwhelmed by the selection of fabrics--not to mention the cost, of having trousers made up.

I've previously had trousers made by a travelling tailor from thailand, or by Mr Ned in NYC that have worked out well.

I'm looking for suggestions for mid-grey fabrics. Nothing too heavy and no super fine, super-easy to wrinkle fabrics either. My principal gaols are to look good without either sweating or having to press the pants very often.

Any suggestions? Also, if you can suggest a source as well, that would be great.

Thanks much!

What they call all-season fabrics are in fact no season fabrics. You have a fresco jacket: that's for spring, autumn and some of the cooler summer days. Get fresco or linen trousers with them, and enjoy how they will keep you cool while the rest of the unwashed masses suffer through their polyester-filled stage of hell.

In winter, store that jacket, and wear flannel/tweed.
