Looks nice. Compared to some of the poorly dressed guys in the other pictures, Fabio's suit looks big.

I can see if you think that the ankles are too narrow, but the pants seem to fit beautifully through the leg. They are not full, but you could line up every man in Naples and still not find a pair of full cut pants. They are too short for my taste by a little bit.

Like the jacket a lot.
Dislike the pants equally.
There is nothing elegant about tiny narrow short pants.

Just for reference, this is a jacket and pants that are too tight. Frankly, they look like crap to me. It is kind of amusing to read all of the gushing comments by Sartorialist readers:

If Borrelli's pants were fuller, it would throw off the entire balance. They might not be anybody else's style, but they are congruent wih the jacket. Personally, I think that these pants look the best of all of them. THey are skinny at the bottom, but the length is good and so is the fit. Jacket fit is superb as well.

His name is Martijn Lusink from the menswearstore Oger in Amsterdam ( www.oger.nl )

He always wear his clothes very tight. I unlike his style and it is NOT my taste BTW.

I would completely agree. This jacket is too tight as there is alot of pulling in the midsection even at a standard relaxed position. Fabio is dead on it fit, closeness but not pulling.

Pants cut much wider on Fabio would look incorrect with his jacket. At first glace, it is easy especially in the US to look and say that's too narrow, but upon looking at it over time, it's quite a studied look.

Then again, the US is hardly the leader in elegant, good looking menswear.lol

Well, you may want to help your friend out. It looks like he put on somebody else's jacket. From what I saw in Holland, this is the look that is being sold as Eye-talian. It looks horrendous.

Regarding Fabio I think the opposite. I think the coat would look great with pants that are 9" wide at the cuff. Although his coat has a soft Neapolitan cut it is not tight or exaggerated and would be balanced out well by a pair of traditionally cut trousers. Personal taste perhaps but that's where I stand.

I think Fabio and the Oger guy wear their pants a little too much on the short side. That is screwing up the balance a bit. Also Fabio seems to have more muscular thighs and they are not quite in balance with the slim silouette of the Borrelli pants.

I think the jacket looks OK on Fabrio (nothing special though), but the pants on the Oger guy actually look slightly better than Fabio Borrelli`s pants.

Mario Rubinacci`s pants look very well balanced, especially the length. I think the guy being measured has on a SB 1 button peak lapel jacket.

I'd have to agree, I was studing this this afternoon with Despos, and Fabio would do better with a bit fuller pants and slightly less narrow to balance the jacket's a bit more broader appearance. I think a 15.5 to 16 inch hem circumference would suit him better.

What did Despos think of the guy who is about to bust his front button?
