I have had excellent results with the Incotex I bought at Daffy's a few years back. Not too sure about what they're churning out nowadays but Mabitex were like spandex on me.

I purchased a few Mabitex cotton trousers about a month ago from a seller here on the b/s. Finally got around to taking them to my tailor to get hemmed, and this morning took my maiden voyage in a pair of them while running some errands.

This is what happened when I bent down to pick up a letter I had dropped in the middle of the post office:

    WTF!?!?!

    Let me first state that:
    1) I am not "big" and wasn't trying to squeeze into a pair of Mabi's I had no business trying to wear.
    2) This has never, EVER happened to me before
    3) I wasn't trying to do lunges while in line at the post office, just a simple bend down to pick something up
    3) I like slimmer fitting pants, but not "nuthuggers", and as such I erred on the side of caution and these Mabitex were on the roomier side of what is typically offered on the b/s.

I was under the impression that Mabitex were quality pants. Is this just an anomaly in quality or.production, or should I just stay away from Mabitex altogether?

    what the h...ll tsk...tsk...

I can't believe those seams weren't already going.

Were these seconds with bad seams or something?

Next time you'll do some squats in the shop before paying for the pants.

"Major-General Sir Wilfred Bosher came to distribute the prizes at that school," proceeded Gussie in a dull, toneless voice. "He dropped a book. He stooped to pick it up. And, as he stooped, his trousers split up the back."

    "How we roared!"

    Gussie's face twisted.

"We did, little swine that we were. Instead of remaining silent and exhibiting a decent sympathy for a gallant officer at a peculiarly embarrassing moment, we howled and yelled with mirth. I loudest of any. That is what will happen to me this afternoon, Bertie. It will be a judgment on me for laughing like that at Major-General Sir Wilfred Bosher."

I think Mabs are overrated. Shit, I buy on SF so at $60 for cottons and $100 for wool it's way overprice. The Daffy price of $25 for cottons and $45-50 for wool is fair price.

The vintage fit and heritage BR pants are better constructed and offer similar fit as the mabs.

This same thing JUST happened to me... a few days ago. At the library. Thankfully the tear is only about an inch and a half and I was wearing an overcoat at the time.
