Eyes really sensitive to light

I have trouble with photosensitivity when I am going on very little sleep. Eyes may tear up.

Also I don't know if it's linked - but whenever I get something in my eye (Even something like an eyelash) it stings like crazy and everyone thinks I act over the top but it genuinly hurts badly.

Is this linked?
