I know I'll get slayed for this, but my favourite frames have always been the thick black "emo" ones.

I know that I saw him at the Sartorial Excellence event. How did you find Nader? Do you own a pair?

IIRC, the glasses start @ $1200, and go up from there and the conceit (vintage frames) is done by Retrospecs and Co in Los Angeles for about $500 less, even for the same metal.

Well I finally made up my mind, and my new frames arrived on Monday.

If your face is narrow you could consider Starck by Mikli. Very Similar in style but a far more narrow temple.

Yeah. Well, you need to treat eyewear a little the way you treat the design of a house you want to last. Don't buy something you're going to get sick of in 2 months. What I mean is, don't buy something teal.

The most popular frame for younger people in my country is Oakley. Comments?

I've never found an online source, but my guys out in Pasadena, Vision One, will order and ship them to you. 626-795-3453. Tell them that Fok referred you.

Too little too late...but thanks anyways! I file it away for the next time I get frames.

PS I hope I'm un-poor enough sometime this summer to get some of that hotter than fish grease Jay Allen stuff.
