Never really handled Pantherella, as shocking as that might be. The Sozzi socks that I have are definitely much finer than the Gallo ones I have. Although, I don't have any 100% cotton Gallo (at the moment!).

The Sozzi ones are really fine and are like a second skin. I've worn them (the OTC) all day without them falling down or 'getting caught' on my pants. I would say they are more dressy than the Gallo, also, due to their fine-ness!

    Hope that helps.

I am not that impressed by Pantherella, even though they are my go to socks whenever i re-stock. I think they wear out quite fast, getting thin fast at "pressure points" then followed by holes.
I only wear wool socks though, since I think dark cotton socks loose color after only a few washes.

Pantherella can be found at amazing prices, I suppose that why they fill a lot of people's sock drawers.

I haven't experienced a colour loss with any of my socks before, cotton or not, maybe it's just very subtle.

Why would wool hold the colour better?

Dunno why, it just does. All cotton garments, be it socks, polo shirts or other, loose color from washing and from light in my experience. Not an issue with lighter colors, but with marine or other darker colors I think it is. Paired with a dark trouser and dark shoes it does not look nice IMO if the socks are faded, however little.
I know a lot of people wear cotton socks, som maybe should I give it a try again :)

Do you know how the socks are knitted? Is it 276 needle machine? 240?

    I was told the following:

The solid socks I have are either 200 or 240 depending on the model.

The patterned ones I have are 276.

    Hope that answers your question.

There is a new feature on the site that allows you to review the products that you purchase. It can be found at the bottom of every individual product page and looks like this:

Also, on the left hand side of the homepage you can leave a general site review and read other people product reviews.

Around July time there should be a few other exciting features that will be released on the site.

If anyone has ideas of what they would like to see added or taken away, feel free to post here, PM me or email: [email protected].

    Thanks.

Shoe trees have arrived. Plus a re-stock of all Saphir products and TONS of new ones.

Some new socks and knit ties have also arrived but we'll post more about that soon.

(P.S. The sale is starting in a day or two....)
