Been looking at this website here:

http://www.thetiebar.com/

Seems they have good prices, nice material and variety. Plus, it is near my house.

Anyone bought anything from them before? Good or bad?

Try the search, this has been discussed before. I have one of their regular ties, and a bow tie. I have no problem with the bow tie, for $15 its not a bad tie. The regular ties, however, I find to be too thick, resulting in a large knot.

I ordered some silk knit ties from them, and they are pretty awesome. :)

Do I have a bad reputation because of the business casual thing? I feel like I don't have quite the resources to get things the proper garments so as to not be labeled a pariah here...

Hah. Funny thing is, I was going to post another topic and instead used search bar. I have no Idea why I didn't for this one. Tanks for the feedback.

I have two knit ties and a couple of pocket squares. I was happy with everything except the silk pocket square. It was absolutely horrendous

What was wrong with the pocket square? I've been planning to try out The Tie Bar for a while now and I was thinking about getting a couple of pocket squares...

I have a silk PS from the tie bar. It seems decent enough, my only problem is the size. Its a good bit smaller than any other PS I own.

I was wondering about this myself. They have some great prices for pocket squares but the largest size they sell that I can find are 13"x13". Some PS they sell are 11.5"x11.5"

I've heard pocket squares should be from 15"X15" to 17"x17"

'Should be'? Just who is coming out with bollocks 'rules' like this? Too big and you get a bulge, not big enough and they might slide down, but this all depends on how your pocket is cut. Smaller ones work better in patch pocket jackets which tend to have smaller / flatter / shallower pockets than besom / jetted pockets.
