Excessive fabrics at the back of suit and trousers

I have recently tailor-made a suit for my coming wedding banquet.
May I ask for advice about excessive fabrics at the back of suit and trousers, of which the tailor told me that it was normal?
Any ideas on that?
Thank you!

That is not normal. It also does not look like excessive fabric. It is hard to tell from only 1 photo. But it looks like too little fabric which results in pulling and preventing the fabric from draping smoothly.

What he told me was that it allowed room for expansion as shown in the first photo ?
I am really not sure about it…
Front view was normal looking though.

The additional jacket photos do make it look like too much material. It appears to be too wide across the shoulders. But it also looks like it is too tight in the lower back. The trousers are too tight under the seat. That is why they are wrinkling. You might try posting this in the The Tailor's Thread.
