1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

She doesn't respect you at all. Get female friends to beat her ass?

    Excellent.

If you really need the money, take her to small claims court. If you don't (as in not getting it back would not harm your life in any way) then let the lying, cheating, thief keep it.

Let that be a lesson to all of you, never lend more money then you are willing to never see again. No matter who it is. It is never fun having to hunt people down for the money they owe you. It makes more sense to lend a certain amount (whether it's $2000, $200, or $20) and let the borrower live up to their word of paying you within a certain time. Then you have the peace of mind in knowing that if they come good with their obligation you are dealing with a trust worthy, reliable person. If they don't then you know never to lend money to them again (and their word is not their bond).

Agreed. As much as I trust my friends, lending money to friends (or even relatives) is very very tricky. Consider it as a very high risk zero-return investment [IMG]

Money is gone and so is the girl, keep it that way.

    Amen.

Getting on with your life and being genuinely happy is the best revenge!

Definitely. If she really is also holding on to the money as a way to control and/or keep contact with you, it will be the best thing you can do, as was already mentioned.

There are people that specialize in the recovery of items.

    +1.

Great advice. You have paid in advance to remove a nutty, cheating Ex from your life.

Think about it like "A Bronx Tale".

$1200 is all it costs you to never have to deal with that bitch again.

Nail her and let her know that you already paid over a grand for it. Game over.
