Everyday leisure slacks?

Hello! I'm replenishing my casual wardrobe and would like to wear nice pants every day that aren't all jeans or chinos, but that won't require dry cleaning. I like to wear loafers and crisp sport shirts.
I've always been a fan of the high rise "leisure" pants that were vogue in the 1960s and 1970s and made with jean-style pockets. Sansabelt and Wrangler make these pants in different colors and in poly and poly/wool blends that hold a permanent crease.
I know these pants won't ever appear in GQ, but for someone who wants to wear smart casual on a daily basis and not have to dry clean natural fiber materials, are these trousers too horrible?
All of my real dress slacks, suits, and sport coats are made of natural and high end fibers.

I have a pair of polyester Wrangler Wranchers. They're high rise and boot cut. Also have that permanent crease you mentioned. Personally wouldn't wear them in a CM way, but I like them with a retro cowboy, dirty bar type style. I wear mine with Western shirts, a vintage Lee 101J, and side-zips.

If you look up "Wrangler Wranchers Reddit" on Google images, you can pull up a bunch of photos

Oh, wow! I guess the hipsters approve. Since you own a pair, how's the sizing?

They run very small. The usual advice is to go up two sizes from your regular waist size and then take your regular inseam size.

So if you normally wear a size 30 x 30, then you want a size 32 x 30 for Wranchers.

I normally wear a size 30, but preferred the 33 x 30 on me for these.

Interesting. I wear a 28 in Levis, but my true waist measurement is around 30. Do I go by measurement or marked size?

Most pants are vanity-sized. So while I wear a size 30 trouser, my actual waist measures 32.

I don't know my mainline Levi's size, but I typically buy 30 in jeans.

Okay, so maybe a 31-labeled waist on the Wrangler should be the starting point...

Ever tried the Sta Prests? They brought them back a couple years ago, but it looks like they stopped making them again. Some interesting history about them.

Yea, I was looking at those a while ago, but don't have any experience with them. Agree about the cool history.
