It was really random. I just finished sparring for about 11 rounds, was dead tired and semi dazed. I sat down to unwrap my wraps and just suddenly got really upset over issues which i have thought about for so long and didnt upset me to that degree before. Im sure being dead tired and out of it had something to do with it, but has anyone every just randomly felt like that?

I once had a business meeting with somebody - on his desk was a picture of somebody familiar, in the middle of the meeting I realized that it was a friend of mine (actually a drill sargeant) who had keen killed in action. turns out it was this guys son. I just burst into tears for about 30 seconds. it was very wierd - I hadn't ever really cried for this guy before, or anybody else for that matter. hadn't ever cried as an adult. I think that it was the fact that it was so unexpected, I wasn't prepared to be reminded of the guy in that situation.

Last new years eve i was at a bar with some friends. There was a gentleman sitting at a table drinking a coke and doing a crossword for the entire night. It just broke my heart, i started crying at the table, i was really choked up. I ended up taking care of his bill and inviting him over, he was a really nice guy. happened to be a prof at the university i go to and it was his last day in ontario!

West24, maybe the following lyrics will cheer you up:

"Wake up Mr. West, Mr. West, Mr. Fresh, Mr...by hisself he so impressed, I mean, damn did you even see the test? You got D's muthafucka, D's, Rosie Perez..."

The first few times I did rounds in the ICU of the children's hospital were really tough for me. There was one patient who was hit by a motorcycle while walking to school in the morning. By the time he was airlifted to children's he was already brain dead. It took two days to notify his parents at which point they were asked about organ donation. That was pretty rough for me. I'd seen quite a few gravely sick older patients several days a week but it was just hard to equate that to nine year-old kid who didn't smoke for 30 years. But as time goes on I notice that my thought process has changed a bit (for the better) and that the bottle has become a little emptier.
