Ever heard of a "Hand Inseamed" shoe?

I won a pair of vintage Florsheims on eBay. The sole says "Hand Inseamed" on it. Anyone familiar with this? I am anxious for them to arrive. I wanted to see if anyone here had any knowledge on these shoes.

I'll hazard a guess.

Does it mean Hand-welted?

I say that because notice how irregularly spaced the welt stitching is.
