They have updated traditional and some European clothing, and are located on a street parallel to Rodeo, a block or so East. I included the Nordstrom because it was one of the top 5 I visited in the U.S., and I found The Grove to be a cool destination shopping place. Enjoy, Gentlemen.

Great list Steve.  The only places I would add are Bloomingdale's (in the Beverly Center) and Wasteland (a vintage clothing store located at 7428 Melrose Avenue).  I know LA Guy doesn't care for Wasteland, and you won't either if the idea of wearing something that someone has previously worn repulses you, but I have found some nice items that were in pretty good condition there.

I also sort of like the Charizmatik store, which is on East Melrose - closer to the SilverLake district. I hestitate to recommend it if you are in a rush. There is very little else in the way of men's clothing stores around it. However, some of their tees and shirts are pretty cool, or at least were the last time I dropped by.
