Eucalan for washing wool? Any experiences?

I bought a wool robe that unfortunately caused a violent itch on my inner forearms.

I read some suggestions on doing a vinegar soak and cold wash to soften it. I did that and chucked it into an air dry cycle.

Mostly came out great, did find a small clump of lint in the trap. Much softer and now feels like a flannel.

Though I shouldn't have put the sash into the dryer, did some damage to the tassels.

My question is, will washing it with Eucalan soften it further? It's much less itchy, but it's still slightly apparent.

I use it for my wool socks, sweaters, and trousers. Works fine (should use a wire frame for trousers, though. You need to keep them taught while they dry. Also certain linings can shrink.). It does make wool a bit softer.

Gotcha, thank you!

Sounds like this is exactly what I need.
