So far, the TV show is pretty good. Esquire has quite a history. But last night I was reading the 80th anniversary issue of the magazine and it was a disappointment. To bad they blew a golden opportunity.

didn't know they have a tv show... skimmed through the 80th anniversary issue.. yeah I think they missed a good opportunity right there- iirc GQ hit a home run with their 50th anniversary issue a few years back.

I misspoke. It is a TV network , the Esquire Network. It has a variety of programs. Tonight it was about the history of the magazine, it's amazing writers( Tom Wolf, Hemingway, Gore Vidal, etc) , social and political issues they covered and even a bit about men's fashion.

Zzzz. I haven't purchased one of those magazines in ages. IF it shows up on my cable programming I'll take a look at it.

I get a subscription to Esquire for something like $9. For that price I'll buy it and pick it up a few times over a month. It is ideal for a plane ride and I can leave it behind. There has been some good content including some great tips on cooking and cocktails. I like much of it's fashion content and direction. More so than GQ, but, of course, that isn't saying a whole lot. I also continue to purchase the Big Black Books each season.

But, the 80th anniversary edition was :(

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
