i have a devastingly handsome, and stylish swedish friend named ola. we met through an organization at my school that pairs an exchange student with a permanent student so they can hangout once a week in hopes of them better learning english and just really getting plugged into the culture of my school.

back to his stylishness, man this guy doesn't even wear very trendy pieces -- he's basically about classic pieces that fit impeccably. anyway, he has these white leather espadrilles he wears with just about everything. i love them, bc they have such a classic, european feel to them but at the same time look really sharp. he said a friend brought them back for him on a trip to spain.

my question is where can i grab a pair? i did a search and only came up with homey looking canvas ones. i saw some perfect leather ones at APC this summer, but they don't sell them anymore. am i all out of luck and should just wait till next spring?

Espadrilles customarily have canvas uppers and jute soles, sometimes with rubber pads.

Even with leather uppers, they are very much a summer item.

espadrilles etc - I almost ordered from here. But they didn't have size/colors I was looking for when I needed them. I ended up getting some shoes from here: tom's shoes They are espadrille like. And for each pair you buy, a pair is donated to a "child in need." Finally, this site: 123 Voyage I can't really vouch for. I placed an order, but it didn't seem like it would ship in time. I cancelled the order, never heard from them confirming the cancellation, but was never charged.
