I saw a version of the Hutch online that I really liked, called the Bette. So I went to Bloomingdales to try them on. I tried a 31 and a 32. The 32 was perfect in the leg, and the waist was comfortably snug. The 31 didn't close. However, despite the pre-distressing, they don't seem to have been washed, so I'm wondering about stretching. They seem a lot like the Fulton Patriot. I then tried the Maz Dark in a 31 (no 32). The waist, like the 32 Bette, was comfortably snug, but they were giving me a serious moose knuckle. Thes likely already stretched, as they had the return sticker on them.
My question is on the Bette, and what size I should go for. Anyone with experience with distressed but unwashed Earnest Sewn, especially the Hutch? I like the Hutch, not too big a bootcut, somewhat similar to the Ralf. And I think that these will make a nice spring/summer jean. I like the bootcut with some of my shoes as they are somewhat elongated and make me look like I have duck feet, so the slight bootcut cuts down on that.
