1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

No kidding. I wonder if on top of the freebies, participating companies actually have to pay a product placement fee? I mean, how are they "selected" for this distinction? Perhaps EG can illuminate the process?

No, I did not have to pay a placement fee. Eric Glennie doesnt make clothes, I make history. My clothing line is very unique which separates me from other designers. I dont need to pay for a celebrity endorsement to separate myself from other designers to get noticed. My products and art speak for themselves. People wear my hats and ties because they like the style. I had a huge rap star tell me I would have to pay him to wear my products on the stage and I simply told him " I am the most innovative designer in the history of menswear and I dont pay anyone to wear my products and dont have to" . If you have to pay a person to wear your garb, then you seriously have to question if the company is a designer or a label. Like I said: I am confident I am the most innovative DESIGNER in the history of menswear and quite possibly the most innovative DESIGNER in American fashion. I have the brains, but I just dont have the money and connections to get off the ground. Also, New York and the CFDA ignore my emails so the center of the fashion world has no clue who I am.

I wonder why...[IMG] What you do does not seem to be fashion design, it is apparel gimmickery. Luckily for you this is exactly the kind of thing that tasteless rappers tend to love, but I've seen nothing from you that can even be compared to the artistic vision of most real fashion designers, let alone anything that would class you as 'the most innovative DESIGNER in American fashion'... </hatin'>

I was half happy for you until you posted your typical arrogant nonsense. There certainly is a chance you'll "make it" (whatever that means) but your ego/narcissism will probably keep you from success.

RE: the rapper who wanted you to pay him to wear that stupid hat. You should have done it. Since you have no talent or vision, you would have at least had exposure. My problem with you Eric is that you knock generations of designers to build yourself up when you have no basis to do so. You take scissors to poorly made clothing and compare yourself to ralph lauren.

    You're still an idiot.

Does anyone have the link to where Eric posted his visionary designs on a woman's clothes blog? I liked reading that. \t[IMG]

I think Eric needs to meet Arthur Kade and take it truly to the next level.

Ego [sic] and narcissism, in almost unimaginable extremes, are exactly the qualities required for success.
