Omg I’m pretty sure BTG handles bankruptcies and liquidated companies… this is utterly horrible. Not sure if we’ll ever get our money back as I’m sure unfulfilled orders rank much lower in the debtor-creditor hierarchy

I'm really sad to hear about the closure, always wanted to order from them. I wonder if someone died? I couldn't imagine they'd have debt issues

Wrote to them in Jan for my pending order but no response. Shocked to see the latest news.

I am pretty sad to see this. Their Attaché case has long been a grail item for me. Got a big bump this year and was going to buy it for myself on my birthday. Guess its good luck for me it happened now, but really sad to see such excellent craftspeople taking down their shingle.

Hey everyone, it would seem that Equus is indeed undergoing liquidation. I had pending orders of about 2500GBP with them from Nov/Dec 2021. I would strongly recommend anyone in a similar position to reach out to their banks immediately for chargeback. It appears that Visa and Mastercard may allow chargebacks up to 540 days after transaction date in some cases. There was an email from the liquidator which didn't look too promising: "Based upon our initial correspondence with the directors, however, it is unlikely any refunds will be available to creditors due to the Company’s lack of assets/funds."

Wow, so you’ve had an order since Nov ‘21? What were they telling you for build finish?

I ordered Jan 2022 and was told Aug/Sep 2022 delivery. Equus lost staff and punched it out to late 2022. Last I heard from them was Nov 2022 when they told me my leather was being sent out for thinning (I assume for the custom pockets and internal pocket I specified. Radio silence since then.
