Can I get advice on the width that would be ideal. Now I know that they say 1 1/2 inch is desirable for jeans but that sounds way to big for me personally, as I am rather slim and that width would look silly on a 120lbs, 5'7" I would think. Am I over thinking it?.

Looking at the bakers of colyton in either harness or bridle, can't decide.

Hi!

Its obviously personal preference, and if you want to go narrower absoloutly do. For ref though, Im 135lb and 5'5" though and I always wear an 1 1/2" belt with jeans. I would go down to 35mm or 1 1/4" with somthing smarter, but to me 1 1/2" is right for jeans. I dont make the rules though and you go for what you think will work best for you

Personally I like the Scott leather very much, the Bakers Bridle is really lovely too though

Hope that helps! Maybe some of the others will chip in

Well that certainly answers my question. 1 1/2 for jeans and sometime in the future get 1 1/4 for chinos.

Just have to decide on the leather, leaning on the scott for jeans and pickup later the bridle for something smarter.

Also with the scott, my true trouser size is 29 1/2, so I need to ad an inch and plus another half inch for the scott making it 31 inches?.

Yes, Id say that would be a good fit. Measure a belt if you get the chance, but 31" should be good Id have though

Double checked my measurements and it's looking like 32 for the scott, was an half inch off. Yikes!.

Clearly can't count.

Hey, I'm wondering what delivery times we're looking at right now. I ordered a belt on Sep 22nd and on the page it's still listed as "in order book". It's on the longer end of the 5-6 weeks I was told to expect, so just wondering how it's going.

Hi! We’re at about 8 weeks at the moment, maybe a bit longer depending on the product. We’ve got a longer backlog than we’d like but getting through it as fast as we can :)

Just chiming in here. I have 4 gorgeous Stratfield Belts, all 30mm/1-3/16" and I've found them to be incredibly versatile. I will admit I have not worn them with denim jeans, but have with several pairs of 5-pocket jean-styled trousers in nicer fabrics, as well as plain front wool dress slacks, and the belts are fantastic. I'm about 5'-9", 160lbs, 32-inch waist, and 1-3/16 does not seem too narrow for my preferences. I love the customization and with the Stratfield, and the incredibly clean finished look of having no exposed button holes is super in my book.

Yeas, sorry! We are running behind - we're very short staffed at the moment. Id say overall the wait time is in the c. 10 week range for belts so it may well be yours is made or nearly so, but drop us an email if you want a more specific update. Sorry for the wait, we're getting through everything as fast as we can, the priority is making things right which makes finding new people when we need them more tha a little challenging. Everyones working hard to catch up though :)

Really glad you like them :)

I share your views, speaking as a consumer rather than maker. I tens to wear Scott belts with denim, but otherwise I wear a Stratfield, and I really like the cleanliness of no visible holes also, its really satisfying as a look

Thank you for the kind words!
